Free Wallpaper - Nature Wallpaper: Roxborough State Park is located southwest of Denver, Colorado. The park is highly ecologically diverse as a result of its location in a transition zone between the plains and the mountains. The park has a total of 3,339 acres. This is a great park for a quick getaway from the city heat to take some great nature wallpaper pictures. With any luck you will catch some pictures of the local wildlife – a wide selection of birds, mule deer, and fox. The park rangers tell you to be aware of your surroundings since there have been occasional sightings of black bear, bobcat, and mountain lions. There is a nice visitor center at the park that features an auditorium, a well stocked book store, and educational displays. The park offers education programs for K-6 through 6th grade. The hiking trails are from 1.4 to 6.4 miles in length and vary from easy to moderate. All in all a great place to get some free wallpaper digital photography shots – indeed – in June the wildflowers are in bloom!

The park has meadows filled with wildflowers during Spring and throughout the Summer.

The rock formations located here along the foothills are outstanding visually.
